The old “Shag” range, which existed for almost 30 years, has been replaced with an extended, redesigned, state-of-the-art practice facility. It includes a full-scale driving range tee; three short game areas for chipping, pitching, and sand practice; and several distant range target greens. The target greens are designed in such a way that a short “pitch and putt” course may be played at times when the range is closed. This unique practice layout provides an excellent learning environment for the variety of teaching that takes place at the golf course. Each year, hundreds of golfers come to campus to learn the game through university classes, camps, clinics, and recreational play. Thank you to our new Driving Range Sponsor – Nelson’s Clothing!
